Honduras to Host the III Ibero-American Tourism Forum 2026

Honduras is preparing to become the regional hub for tourism dialogue with the III Ibero-American Tourism Forum 2026, an international event that will gather government representatives, business leaders, multilateral organizations, and tourism experts from across Ibero-America. The forum will take place from June 1 to June 3, 2026, in the city of San Pedro Sula.

The event will be held under the theme “Technology and Development: Intelligence that Empowers Territories,” focusing on innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, artificial intelligence applied to tourism, and strengthening regional competitiveness.

The third edition of the forum aims to consolidate itself as a strategic platform for public-private cooperation to promote a more modern, sustainable, and inclusive tourism model. Key topics to be addressed include data-driven governance, productivity and inclusion for SMEs, youth employability, sustainability, and smart territorial development.

The event is supported by major international and regional organizations, including the Ibero-American Business Council (CEIB), the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE), UN Tourism, the Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (COHEP), the National Chamber of Tourism of Honduras (CANATURH), along with the Government of Honduras and the Ministry of Tourism.

Authorities and industry representatives consider this forum a key opportunity to strengthen Honduras’ image as a strategic destination for investment, tourism, and business in the region. It will also showcase the country’s tourism potential to international stakeholders and foster new partnerships for economic and social development.

The main venue for the event will be the Hotel Copantl & Convention Center in San Pedro Sula, where hundreds of attendees from different Ibero-American countries are expected to participate.
