National Congress and ENAG Enable Free Access to Laws Published in La Gaceta
The initiative aims to strengthen transparency, legal certainty, and public access to Honduran legislation through free digital platforms.

The National Congress and the National Graphic Arts Company (ENAG) signed a cooperation agreement that will provide free access to laws and official publications contained in the Official Gazette La Gaceta through public digital consultation platforms.
The initiative aims to facilitate access to Honduran legislation for students, attorneys, businesses, educators, researchers, media outlets, and the general public, thereby strengthening institutional transparency and access to updated legal information.
As part of the agreement, a new free digital consultation system will be implemented, including a web portal and technological tools that will allow users to review laws, decrees, and other official publications issued by the Government of Honduras.
During the signing ceremony, authorities highlighted the importance of modernizing access to national legislation, emphasizing that legal information is a fundamental tool for strengthening the rule of law, legal certainty, and legal education in the country.
Additionally, it was announced that the National Congress will temporarily assume the costs related to system subscriptions through the end of 2026, with the objective of guaranteeing continuous free access to official publications.
Specialists believe that this type of initiative could generate significant benefits for the academic, business, and legal sectors, as it facilitates legal research and reduces barriers to accessing official legal information. Likewise, open access to legislation contributes to improved transparency, regulatory compliance, and decision-making in both the public and private sectors.
The agreement also includes future initiatives related to training and institutional strengthening regarding the legislative process and the use of digital tools for legal research and regulatory consultation.
