State Supplier Assistance Window Inaugurated at CCIC

Authorities from the National Office of State Procurement and Acquisitions (Oncae) arrived in the Industrial Capital on Wednesday to inaugurate a new service window at the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Cortés (CCIC).

This window, dedicated to the Registration of State Suppliers and Contractors, aims to facilitate and strengthen the participation of businesses in public procurement processes.

The event was attended by Sergio Coello, Minister of Transparency and Anti-Corruption; Jaime Turcios, Deputy Secretary of Transparency; Karim Qubain, President of CCIC; and the Director of Oncae. During the ceremony, a cooperation agreement was also signed between the two institutions to solidify a strategic alliance.

“This service window represents a firm step toward democratizing access to public procurement and a commitment to transparency,” said Coello.

Meanwhile, Karim Qubain pointed out that the entrepreneurial journey is filled with challenges and that administrative processes often become barriers to growth. He emphasized that this new window will allow businesses to register as state suppliers locally, saving time and valuable resources by avoiding travel to Tegucigalpa.

It is worth noting that, in addition to Oncae, the CCIC also offers service windows for various institutions, including the Sanitary Regulation Agency (Arsa), the Revenue Administration Service (SAR), the National Registry of Persons (RNP), the Private Contributions Regime (RAP), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Honduran Social Security Institute (IHSS), and the Municipality of San Pedro Sula, along with the Mercantile Registry and other services provided by the chamber.
